Many men across Scarborough, Markham and East Toronto have darker, purple or two-toned lips from genetics, sun or smoking. Lip neutralization uses colour theory: warm corrective pigment is placed under cool tones so lips heal brighter and more even. No outline, no tint, no gloss.
Smoking can leave cool brown, grey or purple patches — often at the edges or centre of the lips — that balms can't change. Neutralization softens those tones gradually. Very dark lips usually need two sessions, and you'll know the plan before we begin.

Bold on day one, soft and natural by week six
- 1 · Days 1–2Bold & tender
Colour looks brighter and deeper than your final result, with light swelling. This is expected — it softens quickly.
- 2 · Days 3–5Gentle flaking
Lips feel dry and start to flake. Keep them balmed and let the skin shed on its own — no picking.
- 3 · Days 7–10The ghosting phase
Colour can look faint or patchy as the top layer settles. It isn't fading — the pigment is still healing underneath.
- 4 · Weeks 4–6Watercolour bloom
Your soft, natural tint returns and settles into your healed shade. Your perfecting session refines any light spots.

- Will it look like lipstick?
- No. For men we use warm corrective pigment only to cancel dark, cool tones — no pink, no gloss, no outline. Lips heal to a natural, healthy-looking shade.
- Can it help dark lips from smoking?
- Yes. Smoking can leave lips with cool brown, grey or purple patches. Neutralization softens those tones so lips heal brighter and more even. We'll go over smoking and aftercare with you at your appointment.
- Will people be able to tell?
- The goal is that they can't. Colour looks bolder for the first few days, then softens as it heals into an even, natural tone.
- How many sessions will I need?
- Most clients need two sessions, and very dark or two-toned lips may need more. Your touch-up within 4 months starts from $275.
- How much is it?
- Your initial session is $350 during our Fall Exclusive (regularly $500) when reserved by November 30 — December appointments welcome. A $50 deposit holds your time.
- How long does it take and is there an age requirement?
- About 2 hours. Lip neutralization and lip consultations are for clients 21 and older.
